There are a few ways to stay connected whether you are joining the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit at the National Convention Center in Ha Noi, Viet Nam or online.
1. Follow us
Please connect with us on Twitter and tweet with @ThGreaterMekong to catch up-to-the-minute news, stories, quotes, and visual updates. In addition to seeing majority of the event activities and outcomes in real-time, you could get information about the GMS program and facts on each member country through this channel.
You could also tune in to the GMS Facebook page to see pictures and recorded videos of key activities, including the GMS Senior Officials’ Meeting, the GMS Business Summit, and selected sessions. To get a sense of the overall program, please visit the GMS site.
2. View our campaigns
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the GMS program, Facebook canvases for member countries are available in an engaging format and designed to be viewed on mobile. These interactive country features —with different types of media such as photos, tilt-to-pan images, videos, carousels, text, and buttons — aim to showcase each GMS member nation’s strategic priorities, success stories, and initiatives, which are guided by the “3 C’s”: connectivity, competitiveness, and community.
Another notable campaign to mark the 25 years of GMS partnership is the Instagram photo contest by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). ADB launched this online competition to demonstrate how a focus on increased regional cooperation and integration can improve people’s lives.
You could view the top entries on the GMS website and ADB Facebook.
3. Engage with the community
When posting about the event, make sure to use #GMS25 across the GMS social media channels. You may also post your questions and comments using these platforms.
For those attending the GMS Summit, you have an opportunity to engage with ADB External Relations Officer, Reah Sy, and with GMS Social Media Specialist, Ngoc Vo . They will conduct interviews with GMS country leaders, heads of international organizations, development partners, and business delegates. Please reach out to them to share your thoughts about the event and insights into key emerging issues in the GMS. These one-on-one conversations will be recorded and shown on Facebook.
After the GMS Summit, videos, pictures, publications, recap and other content will be available. Visit the GMS website, where you could also sign up for the newsletter, and the GMS YouTube channel to view a selection of sessions and interviews.
Your participation in the discussions is highly encouraged! We look forward to your perspectives on #GMS25.
