Following the approval of the GMS Health Cooperation Strategy 2019–2023 by the Health Ministers of the six Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) countries in December 2019, the GMS Strategic Results Framework (SRF) 2019–2023 was endorsed by the GMS countries to provide guidance to the GMS Working Group on Health Cooperation, in collaboration with GMS countries, in monitoring and evaluating the Strategy’s effectiveness against its intended strategic outcomes by 2023.

This new strategy for transport development in the Greater Mekong Subregion consists of a strategic framework covering 2018–2030 and a set of performance indicators initially covering 2018–2022.

This road map for expanded cooperation in the energy sector in the Greater Mekong Subregion takes into account GMS Strategic Framework 2002-2012 and the need for improved energy security, better utilization of energy resources, and mutually beneficial energy trade, to meet national and regional energy needs in a sustainable manner.

The Greater Mekong Subregion Urban Development Strategic Framework, 2012–2022, sets out a broad framework to encourage and facilitate a coordinated approach to the development of urban areas throughout the GMS. 

Since the inception of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Cooperation Program in 1992, it has achieved noteworthy successes in fostering regional cooperation in a region that was emerging from a period of prolonged regional conflict.

A new GMS Economic Cooperation Strategic Framework 2030 (GMS-2030) will support enhanced regional cooperation and promote equitable sharing of the benefits of regional integration as the region begins to rebuild after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Cooperation Program Strategic Framework 2030 (GMS 2030) mandates the GMS Program to continue its efforts to develop trade and investment facilitation in the subregion and beyond.

The objective of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Knowledge Network (GMSKN) is to provide expertise, stimulate discussion, and raise awareness on relevant and emerging issues in the GMS.

As the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) program enters its third decade of cooperation, the GMS Leaders endorsed and adopted the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Program Strategic Framework 2030 (GMS-2030) at the 7th GMS Summit.
