ADB’s Public Private Partnership Academy Delivers Training to GMS Officials

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Secretariat, in cooperation with the Office of Public Private Partnership (OPPP) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), organized a training on public private partnerships on 31 May 2023 under ADB's PPP Academy initiative.  Around 78 attendees attended the training, which aimed to support GMS officials in planning for greater private sector participation. 

The "PPP 101" training covered the basics of PPP, role in sustainable infrastructure, key principles and drivers, project identification and screening for PPP suitability, and how ADB can support governments on PPP projects.  

The training also discussed the implementation of the new GMS Regional Investment Framework (RIF) and how to maximize the prospects of private sector financing of the RIF projects.
