Ninth Meeting of the Subregional Telecommunications Forum (STCF-9): Summary of Proceedings

The Ninth Meeting of the Subregional Telecommunications Forum (STCF-9) held in Bangkok, Thailand, was co-organized by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), Thailand and the Asian Development Bank.

The STCF-9 meeting had two objectives. The first objective was to agree on the Greater Mekong Subregion's strategy and program for capacity building in telecommunications and information communication technology development, for endorsing to the 15th GMS Ministerial Conference in Petchburi, Thailand in June 2009. The second was to discuss the progress of cooperation in telecommunications and Information Superhighway Network development, for updating the sector's strategies and priority projects in the Vientiane Plan of Action, 2008-2015.
