Thailand: Status and Potential for the Development of Biofuels and Rural Renewable Energy



This study provides recommendations for decision makers to assist in the development of a national biofuel program for the commercial development and long-term viability of biofuels in Thailand.

It examines the trend in energy consumption and demand facing Thailand. It forecasts the future demand for fuels, and the extent to which it can be met by internal supplies of limited oil and gas reserves and the expansion of biofuel areas.
