ADB Grant to Support Efforts Against Malaria Spread in Lao PDR

VIENTIANE, LAO PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC (17 November 2015) – The Asian Development Bank and the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic today signed an agreement for a $3 million grant to support the government’s efforts to eliminate the spread of drug-resistant malaria in the country.

ADB Loan to Boost Urban Services in Towns Along GMS Economic Corridor

VIENTIANE, LAO PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC (16 November 2015) – The Asian Development Bank has approved a $37 million loan, with an additional $10 million in cofinancing, to support government efforts to improve urban services in Houayxay and Luang Namtha, two towns located along a Greater Mekong Subregion main economic corridor.

YANGON, MYANMAR (12 November 2015) — The Asian Development Bank has approved a $100 million loan to improve a 66.4 kilometer section of road connecting the towns of Eindu and Kawkareik in Kayin state, the missing link of the Greater Mekong Subregion East-West Corridor.
