The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) held a Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) on 27 October 2020 via web-based conferencing. It was attended by GMS Senior officials and ADB officials.
The first Southeast Asia Development Symposium (SEADS) will be held online on 21 October 2020. SEADS aims to help crystallize thinking on critical development issues, and to support countries in Southeast Asia in successfully making the transition to becoming high-income, knowledge-based, and sustainable economies. This annual event will serve as a platform for countries to share insights, innovations, and experience on areas of practical policy relevance.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) held a joint virtual dialogue on Labor Migration in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) on 8 September 2020, with the aim of strengthening cooperation through enhanced labor migration management.
This joint virtual dialogue organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Labor Migration in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) covering Cambodia, the People’s Republic of China (specifically Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam aims to strengthen cooperation through enhanced labor migration management.

The Third Meeting of the GMS Working Group on Health Cooperation (WGHC-3) was held on 12–13 December 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. WGHC-3 was co-organized by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) of Thailand and the ADB.
